Things Magazine competition

Another competition that i joined for this year (whew thats a lot....), but this one I didn't win tho. Which is fine because I myself considered that this art lack of good concept, I bet there more artist who prepared more than me (I saw one of my favorite entry among the winner, he/she deserved it ^^).
Anyway I will do better next time.

The bad thing....like I wrote before in my twitter, I lost my original PSD for this picture. Files been messy in my computer in this recent days, so when I decided to fixed it I just realized later that the PSD file is gone without I even notice when I did deleted it....orz.

My friend gave me one software to fix it, hopefully it can *crossfinger* 

Movie Poster competition

I entered local movie poster competition that held by MuviSpot, and ended at 4th place. There a lot of things dissapointing during this competition but whatever the result is, I'm pretty glad for the result especially Slumdog Millionaire version.

I decided to choose Slumdog Millionaire because i found the official poster is a bit dissapointing, they didn't even put the main cast name on it, how shameful...

I put the chair as main object because the theme on this movie even romance is the game called Who want to be Millionaire, the game that decided of main character ending. I like how this movie actually about romance but they made it didn't look like your usual romance flick, and I love everything about it, not to mention the cast and the place take in India, which is why i used Indian look for this poster, the style or pattern.

And the second poster didn't win anything, but because I made it when I really in love with the movie, I just posted here too...

God, I'm so in love with the movie. Its heavy movie, a lot of dialogues and some disturbing idea but interesting especially we get to know the love story between sentient Operating System and human, which ironically I think this can happen in future.

I used White Carnation for the symbolic "Pure Love" because its the thing that I can see between the main character and one OS called "Samantha", the computer things made me decide to pixelate the flower, and made the title "Her" using random binary code, to add "tech feel" to this poster.

I just like simple poster but tell everything, like one of my favorite movie poster remake Olly Moss.

AFCC Sketch: One Big Story

I joined this year AFCC Sketch competition because of curiousity and that vague theme look interesting.

Okay well i'm not gonna lie, one of the reason why I joined the competition because I can draw what I want and what style that I want to use, its like... idealistic project.

Actually i have no idea what I should draw until I watched Mark Owen new single Stars and suddenly I want to draw astronaut.

Did I pleased with the result? not really, some part didn't turn into something that I imagined, probably that why some people think this is the story about little astronaut being chased by some crazy dinosaurs but the thing i really want is this little astronaut actually guided this dinosaurs to follow him and invited them to come to his space ship (AKA the red rocket behind him), oh well I think being chased by dinosaurs actually a one big story too after all (I mean how often you being chased by dinosaurs LOL).

I still have a lot of ideas I want to draw with Mark Owen's Stars (his new album will be brilliant,I like the preview), but maybe I'll save for later, since I still got 2 more competition entry for this month, whew....

I'm not sure I'll win because everyone entries are fabulous, but I will used that voucher to buy a lot lot of books XD

AtAmerica T-shirt design competition

This is artwork that i've done for AtAmerica t-shirt design competition, didn't won but i kinda like it. I forgot the theme of the competition but i guess is about relationship between America and Indonesia. I choose coffee for base because both American and Indonesian have same addiction of coffee, and both of them also have their own specialized coffee. The fume from the coffee made a handgrip picture from both hands. Left one is America, right one is Indonesia.

Wacom Speed Drawing Competition

Last Saturday i joined WACOM Speed Drawing competition, its between want to join or not, i'm nervous type who rarely draw in public, too much negative thinking but in the end i tried it too.


This is what i made during competition *facepalm* i know i'm a slowpoke, and my mind goes blank when i tried to draw something (plus no practice), so many great artist joined the competition. If i win that will be a miracle lol.
Well at least, once again i'm joined, win or lose doesn't matter.

Not upload any work, its bad thing because i promised myself that i'll upload something once a day, once every two days :(.
Been busy in real life, and oh about my artwork that i submit for KopiKeliling, this one?.
My work has been choosen as one of KopiKeliling Online Exhibition 2012.
I'm proud because everyone artwork are awesome, its miracle to be chosen among other fab artist, and its seems every art in online exhibition will be put on real exhibition at KopiKeliling birthday party.

Back to doodles, i like the concept, maybe i may made this into real artwork.

Made this art for KopiKeliling Online Exhibition 2012.

*sigh* I made this art hurried, because i mistaken the deadline date 22 January as 21 January, how silly....
I like this concept, but i'm not that satisfied... there something i can add more in this picture, like house's details and adding more vehicle and more. I hope i can add it in next drawing...
At least i tried, choose or not choosen that was later matter.
My concept is about "Flood that always happen in every 5 years at my city (Jakarta)", that was the thing that made me worried in 2012.

When The Flowers Never Dance Again

This one is submission for WACOM competition, i like the concept really, but i think i did this half hearted since i notice some flaw, and poor composition and fail human structure LOL. I promise myself that i will remake this picture into a better one.



Let see the failed human body part once more, lets flip this art vertically and made it b/w to see more fail, yeah see that?
Too much muscle on those ballerina hands lol, ballerina indeed have a muscles but not that muscular, also the feet look short orz, and those hand who hold a scissors? fail fingers....so much fail *facepalm*
Yeah this is the result when i did artwork rushed and quick, without noticing many failed things that i've done.



Speak about WACOM competition, did everyone know the theme is "Paradox"?. Though all the winners are amazing, i think paradox theme is too large and too complex to be a single theme.

You will see random art with so much different there from romance fantasy to children book style fantasy, mecha, surrealist, etc. This make me wonder, from what base that the jury pick the winner? skills? themes? or else?
